The National Students of AMF (Ailing Mothers
& Fathers) Support Network is the only organization dedicated to
supporting college students coping with the illness or death of a loved
one and empowering all college students to fight back against terminal
illness. The accomplish their mission by helping students to start chapters of
Students of AMF on college campuses nationwide (currently 24),
providing information and support through www.studentsofamf.org,
raising awareness about the needs of grieving college students by
annually hosting a National Conference on College Student Grief and
National College Student Grief Awareness Week, and holding fundraising
events, including the annual Boot Camp 2 Beat Cancer & Family Fun
Walk and AMF Banquet. -GASMS and National Students of AMF have reached a collaboration
agreement to promote each other activities and to work collaboratively
through the web in the future. An specific place for the NSAMF at the
GASMS will be developed, with the possibility to interconnect with
other students with ailing mothers & fathers around the world.

The Romanian Hospital Association
(RHA) has become a VIP partner of the GASMS. The RHA was set up in March 1993
and currently includes 300 of the 460 hospitals in Romania. The RHA has been a member
of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) since 1995 and has enjoyed a
close cooperation with the Federation. Dr. Mircea Olteanu, President of the RHA
was a member of the IHF Board of Governors between 1997 and 2003.
The RHA has also enjoyed a
long-standing cooperation with HOPE, the European Hospital
and Healthcare Federation. Between 1999 and 2006, Romania was an observer member of
HOPE, and acquired full membership as of January 1st, 2007.
The Romanian Hospital Association
was involved in many projects aiming at reforming the Romanian hospitals and
increasing quality and safety of health care in hospitals, including the
Hospital Accreditation programme, together with the Ministry of Health and
Joint Commission International.
It has also attended numerous
international events and, together with IHF and HOPE, organized several
international conferences and seminars in Bucharest,
such as “Primary care and hospitals, responsible for a healthy society” (5-6
november 1998) and “East meets West to improve quality and efficiency of health
services” (10-12 april 2002).
